About Us

Norfolk Yarn was opened by Becky in December 2005 in our first premises on the Aylsham Road in Norwich. The business grew over the next few years and in March 2014 we moved to our current location on Pottergate, in the vibrant Norwich Lanes area of the city.

In April 2026 Becky made the decision to step back from the day to day running of the business and Mandy took over.

We stock a wide range of yarn, fibre, patterns, books, needles, notions and accessories.

Please have a browse through the website, or better still come and visit us in person!

Please note the bricks and mortar shop will be closed on 12 and 13 August for a refit. We should be open as normal on Friday 14 August.

During the summer we may close early if the weather is particularly hot. If you are having a day out in Norwich please do try and visit us earlier in the day to avoid disappointment.

Colour charts are updated as often as possible, please note some yarns may be discontinued by the manufacturer  on occasion.
